One drive and you'll almost forget it's electric
The e-Golf is the first VW in the U.S. that you plug in instead of gassing up. It’s got a range of about 83 miles per charge and gets the equivalent of 126 mpg city and 105 mpg highway. You can charge it at home, at any ChargePoint or public charging station, or at the dealership. Because it’s based on the Golf and has a clever battery design, it gives you all the versatility of the familiar hatchback. Fold the seats down and there’s 52.7 cubic feet of cargo room, just like in the regular Golf.
The e-Golf looks just like the original Golf, except for its unique wheels and the trademark C-shaped LED running lights that VW incorporates in all its electric car designs. That means you can go green without drawing too much attention to yourself. You’ll be happy to know, however, that it also drives like the regular Golf. It’s got 115 electric hp and 199 pound feet of torque, and Volkswagen promises you’ll feel every one of them. There are three driving modes and three regenerative braking modes to put you in control of the experience.View Inventory
Electronic assistants are on board
Besides the new MIB II infotainment system with its USB port and big touchscreen, the e-Golf comes with its own special VW Car-Net app. This app lets you use your smartphone to check the battery level, turn on your air-conditioning or heater remotely, or activate scheduled charging. Other electronic aides are available to improve your drive as well, including forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and parking steering assistant.
For a fun-to-drive electric car loaded with premium amenities, you have to give the e-Golf a try. Come and take it for a spin at Volkswagen of Salem County. You’ll be glad you did.
