Summer might be coming to an end soon, but the heat sure isn’t. With plenty more warm days still on the calendar, it’s a good idea to take a look and find out where some good places are to have some fun in the sun. We scoured around to find a few of the best spots in and around Philadelphia to take a break from the dog days of summer and have a fun dip in the pool.

The city of Philadelphia operates a number of pools throughout the city that are open and free to the public. These facilities stretch from one end of Philadelphia to the other and that’s just the outdoor pools. There are also plenty of indoor pools that are open year-round. Just a few of the many examples are listed below, most operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, but always make sure to call ahead and make sure the pool you’re looking at is open.
